| Organizing and Labeling your Slide Project:
We do not require you to
organize your slides in any specific way although it
is nice to have them organized thoroughly prior to sending
them to us. Every slide project is different and this
information is only here for your convenience. You are free to come
up with your own system. After all, your job will be
handled by people who do this all the time, so we can
usually figure
it out.
For already organized
slides:
If your slides are in carousels,
slide trays, or slide sheets, you can either repack them in
slide trays that we can send you, or choose to send them the
way they are. Either is satisfactory.
Please number each carousel, tray, or
sheet in the order you want its contents presented on the
DVD. If you wish to include titles for each carousel please include
another sheet indicating the titles for each numbered
carousel. We prefer that the titles be typed up.
It prevents errors in transcribing written titles.
If you choose to put them in the
slide tray please separate each group with a piece of marked
cardboard, put rubber bands around each group, or
both. Also, indicate the order to be scanned by numbering each slide, or
find another way.
For unorganized slides:
Some
people have slides in no particular order. They may
still be in the original slide boxes that you received from the
developer. You
can either send us these boxes or pack them in the slide
trays that we can provide. If you just give us the
boxes, with no order marked, we will organize them by date
as close as we can. This is
especially handy for those who don't have the time, or
desire, to go through their slide collection. If you
wish to organize them further after they are on DVD you can
order a review
upgrade.
If your slides are loose, feel free
to rubber band them with two rubber bands per group.
You can put these rubber banded groups into Ziploc bags, or
in the slide trays we can provide.

We can provide you with slide trays like the ones above
for shipment of your slides to us. They are
archival grade, and save lots of space compared to
bulky carousels, trays, boxes, or sheets. More... |
