Your film to DVD
project may be large or small. To make sure your project turns out
as well as it can and to ensure that we can get your project done in
a timely manner, please take a little time to organize your
project. We have seen projects organized in every way
imaginable, many are very good, some are not. This is
how we recommend to organize your film project. Step
1: The First Step
Find ALL of your films and get a good spot
to lay them out. A cleared table or the living room floor will
work. Step 2: Organizing
Organize your films chronologically as best
as you can. If you'd rather organize them differently, do so
now. Step 3: Labeling Your
Reels
Make up labels for your films.
Label them 1 to x. Please only use whole numbers. For
example, don't use numbers like
2.5, 4-p1, 4-p2, 4-p3! That's why it's important to find all your films before
you start. If you do find more later, please revise your
numbering to reflect the newly found films. Little 1/4"
self-adhesive labels work very well. Please label the reel containing the
film and the box or canister that contains the reel. You
could also use masking tape, tape paper labels to the reels, or just
write on the box (make sure you label them correctly the first time
though). Step 4: Titling Your
Reels
If you have titles for your reels of film,
use the 2nd page of the order
form to write down your titles. Please type these to
ensure accurate titling or make sure to print legibly. If we can't read
your handwriting and the titles are transcribed
incorrectly, we will have to charge a nominal fee to change it later. Associate the number on the reel with the title. Step
5: Packaging
Package your
films in a sturdy box. You can use peanuts, bubble-wrap,
air-packs, or newspaper to make sure that your films won't move around in the box.
FedEx/UPS packs also work well. Step
6: Shipping your Project
Choose a carrier that provides a tracking
number. The major ones are FedEx, UPS, DHL, or Airborne
Express. If you're intimidated by this process, go to a UPS
Store, Staples, Kinkos, or some other shipping outlet in your
area. They are very knowledgeable and affordable. Your
films will get here safely.
Another option is to call us and order
shipping materials. Details are just to the right.
We'll contact you when we
receive your project.
